Casa de Campo is a resort of more than 7,000 acres on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic. Considered by many the epitome of elegance Caribbean, Country House is located in the south-east of the island.

Casa de Campo is considered the best and most complete resort in the Caribbean. The accommodation can be made at Casa de campo Hotel or Casa de Campo or in a private villa.

Because of his three famous Pete Dye golf courses, Casa de Campo is especially renowned for its golf. However, there is a range of activities and facilities that satisfy all interests, especially for children and families. And within its 7,000 acres are countless scenarios for total relaxation.

House truly has something for everyone. In October 2004, Travel & Leisure magazine announced the results of a survey among its readers family travelers. House was selected as the # 1 resort for family vacations in the Caribbean.

Condé Nast House gave its prestigious Golden Key Award and included in its list of 100 Best Places to Stay. It is no coincidence then know that recent American presidents like Jimmy Carter, George Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton have enjoyed his golf and lodging.

Guests have access to all facilities of the Resort House, including three golf courses Pete Dye.

Guests must register upon arrival at the Reception of the Hotel Casa de Campo and must pay $ 25 a day to receive a guest card to use the hotel facilities, and arrange billing for use of your villa. They will also receive a security clearance and identification for entrance to Casa de Campo.

Besides golf, the most popular activities for guests of Casa de Campo are the beach and water sports, bicycles (available for hire), horse riding and polo, swimming in one of several pools, jogging for one of its numerous trails, a shooting center, a spa treatment center, and tennis.

Golf

House has three golf courses designed by Pete Dye and are considered among the best in the world. Dye is considered by many as the most influential golf architect in recent history. The three fields are “The Links”, “Teeth of the Dog” and the new “Dye Fore”. Again, for 2005, Travel & Leisure Golf magazine has awarded Casa de Campo as the # 1 Gofl Resort in the Caribbean.

The famous field “Teeth of the Dog” has seven holes skirting the ocean and is consistently ranked the # 1 golf course in the Caribbean in “The Ten Best Golf Courses in the World” by Golf Magazine. “Dye Fore” is the latest masterpiece by Pete Dye. “Dye Fore” has 18 picturesque holes “that will take your breath” looking over the Chavon River and Altos de Chavon. Holes 12 and 15 are considered two of the best par 3 in the world. The “Links” is a challenging inland, with rolling terrain and views staggered. Many describe it as reminiscent of traditional British and Scottish areas with ponds, lakes, and wading birds. Five holes with water add to the challenge of this field.

Tennis

Nestled in a lush tropical hillside, the La Terraza Tennis Center Casa de Campo, the style of a country club offers 13 courts (10 lighted) with Har-Tru surface immaculately maintained, the best equipment and personnel and a view spectacular in the Caribbean. Was recognized for “TennisResortsOnline” as one of the “Best Tennis Resorts in the World”.

Altos de Chavon

Built on the heights above the Chavon River is Altos de Chavon, a replica of a Mediterranean village of the sixteenth century. This location offers stunning views and yet is an active community of artists with a collection of shops, studios, and fine restaurants. A Greek-style amphitheater with 5,000 seats theater presents productions and entertainment. Take a stroll through the cobblestone streets to quaint shops, exclusive boutiques, art galleries, an archaeological museum, and four restaurants.

The Marina House

One of the most dynamic additions Casa de Campo resort is the Marina which opened in 2001. The Marina is a collection of chic restaurants, cafes, shops and yacht club whose port is magnificent anchorage for fishing boats, water yachts and sailboats. It is also the scene of several regattas each year.

The square is a popular place in the afternoons and evenings for drinks and dinner. Residents of the many condominiums built in La Marina can enjoy the environment from their balconies. Fishing trips can be half or full day starting from La Marina. They can be hired from there, a walk at sunset on a catamaran, a boat trip paddle steamer on the River Chavon, or a cruise on a sailboat to nearby Catalina Island.

 

The Center for Physical Health

Country House is the ideal place to keep your fitness and general welfare when on vacation. The Physical Fitness Center Field House offers free weights, exercise equipment, massages and beauty treatments. All the restaurants have vegetarian menu selections and heart healthy.

Shot

There is no greater test of concentration and target shooting, and no resort can match the excitement of the shot as the Sporting Clays Shooting Center Casa de Campo. The simulations of trap, plate, and hunting are the most realistic that can be found anywhere.

Riding and Polo

Equestrian activities at Casa de Campo include trail rides through the tropical splendor of the Dominican countryside, riding intensive, horse jumping and polo manual, polo matches at international level and other special events.

Spa with treatments

A wide variety of popular spa treatments performed by licensed professionals are available by appointment at the hotel.

Water Sports and Beach Minitas

In House, guests can enjoy the full range of non-motorized water sports or simply relax on the beach lined with coconut trees. Guests can swim in a variety pools including the main pool on two levels with wet bar.

Children, Youth and Families

For children 4-7 years of age, there is the popular Kidz’n House of supervised activities, including visits to the beach and the riding, treasure hunts and creative arts, children love it.
“Tweenz Fun is for ages 8-12, with age appropriate entertainment. Packed with horse riding, nature adventures, tennis volleys and games donkey, and water polo.
What Pasa’n House is for ages 13-18, where they can gather, make friends and have fun. They have their own things in Bonche Cafe with a teenager at the beach hut, his own source of email that will keep them connected and more.
Family Adventure Time is new and includes: Beach Olympics, Kayak tours, Survivors on the island, horseback riding and more.

Visits to Santo Domingo

A wide variety of day trips to Santo Domingo are available. Discovered by Christopher Columbus, is the oldest and largest city of the Dominican Republic. They can be historic tours of duty-free shopping and casino.
